Q: Who influenced you to become a DJ?
A: No specific person influenced me to become a DJ. Since I remember, I was always listening to music, recording songs off the radio, making my own mixtapes, even creating my own music Top 40 charts. But the one person that influenced me to become a better DJ has to be DJ AM. He single-handedly changed the game and he is most likely your favorite DJ’s favorite DJ.
Q: What excites you the most about DJing at LEX Nightclub?
A: LEX is a unique venue with all the quirks and perks that rival many Vegas clubs and has always been one of the go to spots in Northern Nevada. I like the large room atmosphere. I was a resident at Opera in Atlanta for about a year where about 2000 people would party almost every Saturday night. Kinda miss that. I hope to continue that vibe at LEX!
Q: If you could be stuck in one decade’s music scene which decade would it be?
A: Early 80’s, so much great music not just pop/rock hits and the birth of rap and hip-hop culture, but probably the best few years of R&B ever.
Q: What is one track that never gets old no matter how many times you hear it?
A: I’m probably dating and exposing myself, but I have to mention three: Luther Vandross “Never Too Much”, Lil Kim & Lil Cease “Crush On You” and Robyn “Show Me Love”
Q: Who is your favorite non-DJ artist?
A: Hall & Oates and anything Warren G from 1993-1998
